Friendship. Fun. Support.
The East Greenwich-Cowesett New Neighbors (EGCNN) was founded in 1974 as a non-profit social club. The EGCNN is a primarily women’s organization whose purpose is to aid residents who would like to foster new friendships and become more acquainted with the community. Group, family and couples’ events and activities are offered throughout the year. These may include Children’s Playgroup, Community Outreach, Girls Night Out, Walking Group, Book Clubs, Hiking Enthusiasts, Tennis, Wine Enthusiasts and more!
Each year we number more than 125 families from all over the U.S. and around the world. Membership is open to all new residents of East Greenwich and Cowesett.
General meetings provide a social gathering for the opportunity to learn about our activities and meet other club members.
Meetings are typically held on the second Wednesday of each month at 9:30am from September through June at the East Greenwich United Methodist Church, located at 1558 South County Trail in East Greenwich. Babysitting is available for all daytime meetings. We are making an effort to schedule more evening meetings to try and encourage working members to join in the fun of the programming.
We try to schedule activities on different days and at different times to accommodate the variety of schedules of our members. We also don’t keep all of the fun to ourselves – many activities include kids, spouses and families.
